Two Cute Kids and Some Birthday Cake ( Second BDAY Parties)

Two Cute Kids and Some Birthday Cake

Time to document the crazy party bashes of my two beautiful and crazy kiddos PAUL AND LUCY

Paul's Sesame Street Second Birthday!

Paul was very into Sesame Street when he was two years old because of a trip we took to Sesame Place in PA. We chose to do Sesame Street instead of an Elmo party because we there were so many opportunities for creativity with all of the characters.

The Cake: My sister made Paul's Sesame Street cake ( Auntie Katie's Cakes). She was so excited to make Elmo out of sugar...and Paul sure did love eating it!

The Party: We had so much fun planning this party!  Each child received a party bag and a homemade Sesame Street sign with their name on it.  This party was in 2009 and I still see these signs hanging up at friend's houses:)  The kids were also able to make an Elmo or Cookie Monster hat, and there were other various goodies and activities throughout the night.
We used the name signs as decorations for the party.

How many cookies are in Cookie Monster's Jar?

Even Dorothy made an appearance!

Favors for the grownups!

Name Signs

Dorothy's Gold Fish Bar....was a huge hit!

Big Bird shared some birdseed!

The Birthday Boy: Happy Second Birthday Paul! We love you!!!

Lucy's SUPER STAR Second Birthday!

When Lucy was turning two years old she still did not have a favorite theme/ show that would make a decent birthday party! Her favorite thing to play was DRESS UP! She loved sunglasses and shoes....she was quite the DIVA! Seeing as though she loved STARS and sand TWINKLE TWINKLE every second she could...we decided to throw Lucy Marie her very own SUPER STAR party!

The Cake: Auntie Katie was away on vacation so we purchased this birthday cake from Jaques Pastry. It was delicious! Grammy also made some cupcakes to go with the cake...they were so yummy!

This was the funnest cake. Lucy kept yelling, GLASSES!

These cupcakes are delicious! The pink glitter was such a cute touch.  We had extra star cutouts so we put them under the cupcakes ( thanks Cheri!)

The Party: We had so many people come to Lucy's party...it was so much fun!  My friend Danyelle created the star decorations by cutting out stars and hanging them as streamers.  She also hung up Hollywood Super Star Posters to that every child that came to the party could have their name on a star! We hung them on the wall for the party.  We also had pink zebra stars that were given to us, so we used Lucy's picture from her invitation and put them on the stars. It was so cute to see them hung up everywhere! We set up a necklace making station...the girls loved it.
Hollywood Squares ( Thanks Danyelle!)

Super Star Lucy!

Goodie Bags! Lots of star shaped goodies!

The Food:  We had this party catered by Casa Vecchia Express in Methuen, MA. We had all of Lucy's favorites! Chicken Broccoli Ziti and Meatballs! It was a hit! And NANA MADE MAC AND CHEESE!

The Birthday Girl: We got Lucy's Birthday Dress on etsy.com. She loved showing off her dress and diaper cover:) We also did some very cute thank you notes on shutter fly.com

HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY LUCY! WE LOVE YOU!
